This is a tremendously versatile pattern, based on a simple shape with angel wing sleeves! Short and left plain it is a fab matinee jacket for boy or girl, but it is gorgeous with frills on or the ruffle collar. I have made it trimmed up with roses, beads or ribbons (I’ve made so many).

The long Christening coat is very impressive when made, and would be a future heirloom. This one looks lovely over the baby boy’s Christening suit (KSB 4) and I have included a picture to show it though that pattern is seperate.

Both coats use the same set of simple instructions, however the shorter coat is fuller and the sleeves quite short, and although the long Christening gown is very full at the bottom you increase gradually, and the sleeves are a longer.
Both sets can be trimmed up with the frill, the collar ruffle or just left plain.

The download document is large as it contains seperate instructions for UK and US terminology (the US follows on seperately in the 2nd half of the pattern) to avoid confusion, there are also plenty of photographs for reference.
