What am I missing?
White Russian
An easy to wear tunic, knit top down, with a simple lace pattern and a few details like side shaping and a button flap. The neck is roomy without being too much, and the sleeves are short and tapered (altered after the first test knitting…)
I used the Jo Sharp for it’s softness and the little bit of drape that the yarn has, but this would work well in many other DK tweeds or fibers.
A NOTE ON LG SIZES - This has extra ease at the bust in the larger sizes – it worked out that way with the extra lace repeat, and I hate how lace stretches over boobs, so I was happy with the extra room for the sizes that usually need it there.
It’s 43 around for the L if you combine front and back, 46 for the XL, when you seperate for sleeves. And as you add on stitches for the sides, you can build in an extra 4-6 inches (2-3 ea side), or keep things on the smaller side if you don’t need the additional room. As more large size knitters work this, let me know how you play with it!
errata if you bought one of the first patterns:
size L/XL - the neckline increase is meant to be done once, not 3x. Stitch count IS 112. A revised PDF has been sent out.
