White Wave Shawl is a pretty lace and garter stitch shawl. It is perfect for those blustery sea walks when the surf’s up, and can be worn as a scarf/wrap over the top of a Winter coat, or as a cosy shawl on a cool Summer’s eve. Featured in ‘Knitinabox’ Jan 2020.

An intermediate pattern, it starts at the top with a few stitches, and spreads out into 2 triangles, with easy lace and garter stitch patterns and contrasting stripes. Photos are included throughout, with line by line instructions, with British/American terms. Basic skills needed, plus knit front and back (kfb), yarn forward (yfwd) and knit 2 together (k2tog).

Yarn recommendations are given, but any aran/worsted yarn should be fine as slight variations for shawls or scarves are not so important. Photos inc. to make optional tassels.
