whorl
noun

  • something that turns or goes around in a circle
  • an arrangement of leaves, petals, etc., that forms a circle around a stem
  • a lacy loop of leaves to warm your neck!

Materials:
Malabrigo Yarn Lace (100% merino wool, 470 yds/430 m) or any laceweight yarn, 1 skein. The cowl shown used approximately 360 yards of yarn.
Size 5 (3.75 mm) 24”-long circular needle

Finished dimensions:
26” circumference, 18” from top to bottom edges. The circumference of the cowl can be adjusted by adding/subtracting stitches in multiples of 12.

Gauge is unimportant for this project, but for good drape and ease of blocking, your knitting should be loose. If you knit tightly, go up a needle size.
