Whoville Mittens! So named because they remind me of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. And because my dad calls me Lindsay Lou Who. :)

Two skeins of Malabrigo Worsted are plenty to make two pairs of striped mittens. If you want to make them solid, you’ll only need one skein. Other worsted weight yarns may be substituted, but make sure to check your gauge!

I recommend using a jogless stripe technique to avoid the line that’s caused by changing colors. There are many tutorials for jogless stripes available online. TECHknitter has a very helpful post about them that can be found here.

Techniques used include:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Ribbing
  • Jogless stripes
  • Mirrored increases
  • Stacked decreases

Additional tools needed:

  • Two stitch markers
  • Stitch holder or waste yarn
  • Tapestry needle
