Yarn:
35-60 yards of light gray yarn for bunny
25-50 yards of light pink yarn for sweater and heart
20-45 yards of white yarn for sweater and tail
The heavier the yarn weight, the more yardage needed.

This pattern is written round by round so that you can use any weight yarn you want to create all sorts of sizes of Valentine’s friends. Try sock yarn for perfect candy giving friends, or bulky for your favorite Valentine.

Gauge: You pick! Simply knit with your choice of yarn on needles 2-3 sizes smaller than called for to get a tight knit fabric your stuffing wont show through.

Needles: You pick! A 40” or longer circular needle (for Magic Loop Method) in a size right for your yarn. You can also optionally use two double pointed needles in the same size as your circular, but it is not necessary. See the pattern for more info.

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, beginning of the round stitch marker (removable or closed) and optional row counter, 10 removable stitch markers, stuffing, a set of safety eyes, and a safety nose (or other eye and nose choice such as buttons or scrap yarn for embroidery). You can use stitch holders, or an additional any length circular needle, or 2 dpn’s for the legs.

Finished size: Varies depending on the yarn you use. For the samples shown in the pattern we used sock weight yarn and 6mm safety eyes and 8mm safety noses. The finished critter is about 4” tall
