Inspired by vast open spans of drifting snow and frozen earth, where nature leaves its mark through tracks in the snow. An homage to my internal need for wide open spaces, thick with fresh air and lots of wildlife, and of course, beautiful, expansive vistas.

Wide Open Spaces is a soothing knit with minimal details in the body and an amusing edging to keep the knitter interested. In worsted weight, this shawl works up quickly and is sure to keep its wearer warm in the deepest shades of winter.

This design is the first in a 4-piece collection, Shades of Winter, published in collaboration with Luna Grey Fiber Arts. Kits for this shawl are available from Luna Grey here: Wide Open Spaces Shawl Kits
