This lovely lacy wrap is the perfect addition to a beautiful bridal gown but would be just as suitable for a special wedding guest or bridesmaid. Gorgeous in traditional tones of white, ivory or pearl and equally stunning in lilac, duck-egg blue and pale dusky pink…or how about one for the theatre (or to match bridesmaid dresses) in deep red, emerald or purple?….Whichever you choose I am confident that this stylish pattern will look wonderful.

Suited to an intermediate Knitter.

Materials:
1 x 100g Skein Fybrespates Sumptuous Lace or equivalent lace yarn
3.50 mm/ USA size 4 Needles (I favour a circular needle to comfortably accommodate all the stitches but straights are fine)
0.6mm Toho beads (Optional)…Approx 375 used. Example made with silver-lined crystal beads.
Large eyed yarn needle, for weaving in ends.
Rust proof blocking pins…minimum of 65.

Finished size after blocking approx 15 inches x 85 inches (38 cms x 215 cms)

Method:
The Wrap is worked by making a provisional cast on and then working one of the deep border edges. Once you have cast off this first edge, the provisional cast on stitches are picked up and the body of the wrap, together with the other deep border edge is worked as one piece. Thus no seaming or demarcation lines.
It is worked flat, turning after every row.

Please do contact me if you have any questions…

NB: I have been asked about the bead placement on the ‘Diamond’ pattern of the borders which I had originally just provided a picture for as suggested placement…here are the actual stitch details that I used….hope this helps and thanks to Souzachef for the impetus to add this :)…….
