A sweet summery piece reminiscent of a field of wild berries, this scarf/shawl works up fast but is never boring. It’s a side-to-side asymmetric shawl that can be made with any size yarn and is perfect for one-skein projects or those smaller or unknown quantities of yarn.

You can absolutely customize this pattern to your yarn. Use any weight yarn with an appropriate hook for the drape you desire. There are recommendations for end rows in the lace repeat that will give a perfect, finished look, so you can be sure to be able to use up as much of your yarn as possible.

I recommend no less than 250 yds for a scarf-size if using DK or worsted yarn, 350 yds for lace/fingering, and anywhere up to 1,000 yds of any weight for a very generous shawl.

Use hook appropriate to yarn for your desired drape. Some hook/yarn suggestions are given in the pattern.

Beads- optional embellishment
Stitch marker to keep track of increase side
scissors, blunt tip needle for weaving in ends.
