Other tools
Yarn needle
Fabric pins (long pins with large heads are best)
Row counter or notepad and pencil
Stitch markers or pieces of contrasting yarn
Extras
A small amount of polyester stuffing (about a handful)
Optional Extras
One pipecleaner that closely matches your chosen gum colour or soft thick wire approx 40cm long (invaluable for helping to shape and attach the teeth to the gums), a headband to attach the ears if you have chosen this option
One pair of 20mm plastic or glass eyes. I used safety eyes and removed the posts with heavy duty wire cutters
A flexible glue such as E6000 or Selleys Fix&Go Show Repair to attach your ears to a headband or your eyes to your hood. The glue must be flexible, and resistant to weather and occasional gentle surface washing to keep your hood or headband in good condition
A slicker brush for brushing your hood to create a more furry appearance.
