Last autumn, I spent a weekend at the Bayview Wildwood resort in Port Stanton, Ontario. While there I took part in design classes with the über-talented Fiona Ellis.
In the class, Fiona encouraged us to see potential knitting designs in the landscape around us. Being in the thick of cottage country, it was not hard to pull inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounded the resort.
Thus, Wildwood was born – a beautiful lace beret with a floral centrepiece that flows organically to a bed of delicate leaves. It’s perfect for a day of cross country skiing - or just hanging out in the city.
