Designed to use up every last ounce of this delicious yarn, Willow is worked in an easy but effective textured pattern. The bodice is worked first, with integrated button and buttonhole bands, then the sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted around the armhole edge and decreased cleverly to create sleeve shaping without too much bulk of fabric. The shoulder seams are joined with a 3 needle bind off, so the only sewing-up in the whole garment is of the tiny side seams, which measure just 8cm/3 1/4in even on the largest size.
The main body is then picked-up and knitted in one piece, with a pretty textured band, integrated button and buttonhole bands and side seam shaping. Willow can be made as long or as short as you wish once the buttonholes and shaping have been worked, so you don’t have to have precious leftover yarn in your cupboard!
