Willowind is an easy, adaptable, top-down crescent with a simple linear lace designed to work well with bright or variegated yarns as well as subtler tones.

Optional beading.

Sizing is totally adjustable - start the lace whenever you like (or even switch between plain and lace and back again), and keep knitting until you run out of yarn!

Inspired by ‘The Wind in the Willows’ and my mother’s love of blue willow china, this lace is reminiscent of willow trees, with a minimal and easy to memorise repeat.

The plain section can be in stockinette or garter, in anything from lace to sport weight.

The pattern is both written and charted.

ETA 16/7/14 Due to difficulty linking to the pattern, the name has been altered slightly to make it more easily identifiable.
