Willowreed is an open cardigan that is worked seamlessly from the top down. The wide collar is then picked up and worked in a simple knit and purl stitch pattern. Shown in Manos Silk Blend, it is a super cozy and easy to wear (and to knit!) cardigan that could also double as a fall jacket.

Manos Silk Blend by Manos del Uruguay (70% merino, 30% silk; 50g skein = approx 150 yards)

• 7 (8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12)skeins 3207 Willow

• Approx yards- 1025 (1075, 1170, 1250, 1320, 1425, 1490, 1595, 1690)

Needles:

• One 29” circular (circ) needle size US 7 (4.5 mm). (Body is worked flat, circ needle is used to accommodate large number of sts)

• One set double pointed needles (dpns) size US 7 (4.5 mm). (for sleeves)
