UPDATE SEPT. 2012: I have now added a fingering weight version of Windhelm! The file has been added to the Ravelry download link above, just select “Windhelm-fingering.pdf”

Gauge for the fingering weight version is 30 sts over 4 inches, and it uses 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm needles

inspired by the arches at the gates of Windhelm (erm… Skyrim reference).

basic but with a few twists, this slouchy toque is the perfect treat for your head when made with that special skein of worsted.

you could probably get away with a light worsted or even dk weight yarn, since the hat is designed to drape and slouch.

note: the wrap and turn instructions have been updated on the pattern file to reflect the fact that you will only be using the right side (RS) version of wrapping and turning -- sorry if that was unclear in older versions of the pattern!
