I made this trapper hat for my dad who is very fond of the outdoors. He has been wanting a warm, water-resistant, insulated hat for some time now, and he claims that this hat meets and exceeds his needs. He wears it hunting and makes use of the stylish flap on the head as a pocket(I have sewn it all the way closed leaving the top open). It is a great place to store fire-starting tools and other “survival” gadgets like compasses. I hope you enjoy making your own trapper hat!
