Windmill Bay is a stole knit from end to end with a lacy section nestled between ribbed and cabled sections. I designed this as a go to stole for around the campfire or snuggling on the sofa while watching a favourite movie. It would make a great gift for a faraway friend (or a close one) when an in person hug is just not possible.

The lace and cable are both easy enough for advanced beginner knitters. The pattern includes both written and charted instructions and could very easily be adapted narrower to make a scarf or wider to make a blanket.

Important Note*
This pattern requires hard blocking due to the different natures of lace and ribbing. Choose a yarn that has mostly wool content in order to achieve the same results as the sample
