Windstorm is a classically simple design that shows off the beautiful textures in Malabrigo Yarn’s Caracol. It uses mainly stockinette stitch to highlight any fun, variegated, colorful, or thick-and-thin super bulky yarn.

I had a close-to-out-of-control growing stash of Caracol, because every colorway I saw was prettier than the next, but of course I wouldn’t have a sweater quantity of any one (or even two) colors. This northern girl has way too much super bulky in general, especially now that we are wintering in south Florida, where my hand knits live sadly put away in a chest, to be taken out maybe once or twice per season.

Windstorm takes advantage of single skeins of bright colors mixed with soft neutrals to use up your stashed goodies while creating something beautiful. It can be knit with short sleeves (for the warmer climates where you just need a little warmth on your shoulders in the evenings) or long sleeves for the frigid winters, and to keep in your office where someone keeps turning the A/C to arctic temps all summer long.
