Wine O’clock is exactly the kind of knitting I like when it’s, well, wine o’clock! Rhythmic enough to knit and chat, the stitch patterns change just often enough to keep the knitting engaging. And the finished shawl is fashionable, elegant, and decidedly unfussy - the perfect thing to wrap up in while relaxing with a nice glass of vino.

Designed to make the most out of a precious skein of Gradient yarn, this pattern includes both specific, row-by-row instructions for Glisten Fingering as well as a detailed recipe for knitting this shawl using any yarn of any weight. You will need to weigh your yarn in order to use the recipe.

Yarn
Shown: Apple Tree Knits Glisten Fingering in New Growth Gradient (4 oz/ 560 yds, 65% superwash merino/35% rayon from bamboo)
Any yarn of any weight may be substituted – this pattern is fully adjustable

Needles/Gauge
Use a needle size to obtain a pleasing fabric with your yarn. The texture of the shawl will most visible when knit to a reasonably tight gauge. Sample shown was knit using size US #3 needles.

Finished Size
Will vary; sample measures 51 inches (130 cm) by 21 inches (53 cm)
