Wish to get your yarn and pattern both at the same time? Wings of an Autumn Moth is now available as a kit from Luna Grey Fiber Arts.

Inspired by a pair of moth wings, Wings of an Autumn Moth is a top-down, semi-circular shawl. Majority of the body is knitted in stockinette stitch besides the five yarn over lines which are used to increase the horizontal width of the shawl whilst creating detail.

The edging is the feature design element of this shawl. The combination of lace and cables within the edge, transforms the simplistic body into a stunning shawl. Depending on how you block it, it can be finished with a scalloped edge (shown on the green, smaller version) or a pointed one (as with the purple, larger version).
