The design is deceptively simple, knitted in one piece, shaped by short rows and completely in garter stitch. It works up very quickly.

There are instructions to adapt the design to any yarn and to adjust the size.

I have been stunned by the beautiful shawls that so many wonderful people have produced, both by the use of yarn and by modifying the design in personal ways.

In particular these have drawn my attention:-

LanArta has produced some stunning designs using the Knit Swing method - check out the group Knitting the Swing

cazjnr has produced a CROCHET version of the pattern available as a free Ravelry download.

momcook has cleverly produced a version of the pattern for loom knitting available as a free Ravelry download.

Ifahlin knitted a lovely design using stocking and garter stitch and used extra short rows on the border to give an attractive flirty edge.

meadviewmarket has filled the crescent in with garter stitch to give a more substantial shawl.

If you have made mods please contact me. I would like to catalogue them all and make them available to everyone.

Auch LanArta könnt ihr fragen, wenn in der deutschen Übersetzung etwas
unklar sein sollte

If anyone has knitted the pattern and would like to translate it into any other language please get in touch.

A French translation will hopefully be available soon.

This was an exclusive design for the Tri’Coterie Angels Club June 2011, available generally from January 2012.
