I designed these for my daughter when I couldn’t find anything that was quite right. I pulled out my Barbara Walker books, fiddled a bit and came up with a pattern that satisfied the my daughter and I. Features that made my daughter happy include:

  • The way the Gull Stitch pattern pulls in snugly around the wrist but remains stretchy.
  • The gusseted thumbs that keep the increase rib in the palm leaving the decorative back of the hand neat and tidy.
  • The way the Gull Stitch continues up the back of the hand adding just enough interest.
  • How the gloves taper in around the fingers leaving the hand with a bit of ease but preventing the glove from getting in the way of the fingers.

This is the first pattern I’ve ever written so please be kind.
