What am I missing?
Winter Arboretum
During the month of November, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern will go to the Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Winter Arboretum is a long, shallow crescent wrap. The leafy lace edging, adapted from Barbara Walker, is worked first, and the crescent is shaped using short rows.
Techniques used include yarn overs, slipping stitches, knitting stitches together, and working short rows on the garter stitch body, making it a good project for the Intermediate knitter.
Finished measurements after blocking: 64” wingspan; 13.5” back length.
While gauge is not critical, it will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yardage needed.
The instructions for the edging are both written and charted.
Many thanks to Katherine Vaughn ktlv for tech editing.
