Winter Blues Texting Mitts are created with the age old waistcoat stitch, also known as crochet stockinette or split single crochet. Because of the denseness, the pattern uses a good part of a full skein of 4ply worsted weight I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby, in “Royal”.

The fabric is dense yet flexible, and because of the thickness these handy mitts are extremely warm. Keep the fingers toasty, yet have a flip back mitten top for convenience.

Little patches of scrap denim with blanket stitch borders and button decorations, all sewn on, keep this on the fun and (a little) rustic side.
