Intermediate - This pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills used: knitting cables, slipped stitches

Notes From the Designer:

•This adorable scarf knits up quickly in bulky weight yarn, making it a great last-minute gift or accessory if winter catches you off guard. A slipped-stitch rib creates a squishy, warm fabric, and the chunky cables form a pattern resembling butterflies, so you can keep spring in your thoughts even if there’s snow on the ground!

•Scarf is worked from end to end in slipped stitch rib throughout, including the cables.

•The cables in this pattern do not cross at the center, but are always separated by at least one un-cabled stitch. This is what lends the butterfly its shape.

•The cabled edges of this scarf will have a natural tendency to turn inwards while working, exposing the WS of the scarf. Blocking your scarf afterwards will open up the cables so they sit properly without turning inwards.

•Pattern can be made longer by working more repeats, but this will require extra yarn. If using the specified yarn, you will need just over 1 skein per pattern repeat, so make sure you plan your yarn purchase accordingly.
