This is a truly a simple beauty of a cowl. Linen stitch in three colors interspersed with main color garter stitch bands, the knitter’s color choices will determine its final “feel.” Worked in Sport or Fingering Weight in 2 sizes on larger needles, makes this cowl drape nicely as it keeps the normally dense Linen Stitch soft and fluid. Shown in DarkPlum, Walnut Heather and Cotton Candy in Necklet size, can be made in a longer length (Large) as well. Cascade 220 Sport shown but any fingering or sport can be used.

Gauge: 21 sts = 4 ins in linen stitch on larger needles.
79 rnds of pattern = 6.5 ins length.
Finished Height: 6 1/4 ins (both sizes)
Finished Circumference: 21 ( 46 ) ins.

Materials:
Cascade 220 Sport or any yarn that will give gauge.
90 ( 200 ) yds MC Dark Plum
65 ( 150 ) yds CC1 Walnut Heather

Fingering yarn can be substituted if desired. Be sure to swatch, probably with at least 1 size larger needle to obtain stitch gauge for proper fit.
