With some of that wool you’ve bought during Wool Week, begin knitting now this very attractive wool dressing jacket. It’s in one of the newest lacy designs, which you could also use in the making of fine wool singlets, and will be a very cosy item for winter wear. It would look its best in one of the dainty pastel shades to be had now with a satin ribbon at the waist.

MATERIALS: 10oz. Kingfisher lustre wool. Two No. 8 knitting needles, 2 yds. ribbon.

MEASUREMENTS: Length from top of shoulder, 26in. Width all round at under-arm, 43in. Length of sleeve from under-arm, 6½in.

Work at a tension to produce 7 stitches to the inch, measured over the plain, smooth fabric.
