There is nothing better than a nice warm hat for the winter. And what could be nicer than a hat that is simple in its design but complex in its details? Winter Shadows is just such a pattern. The main body of this hat features a DK weight yarn while the “shadows,” or background, in reverse stockinette stitch, are worked in fingering weight yarn, adding an interesting texture. Special attention has been taken to make the cables of the honeycomb “grow” out of the ribbing and the crown decreases in a flowing and easy way. With or without a pompom, this elegant hat makes any winter warmer for young to old. Happy Knitting!
