We all need a little sunshine in winter, why not a perky plaid hat to brighten your day. Quick to knit in worsted weight the hat is worked in horizontal stripes with the vertical lines added afterwards using either a crochet chain or duplicate stitch embroidery method. Top it off with a cheery pompom and face even the most blustery day with a sunny glow.

Materials: Sample used 3 shades of Cascade 220 wool.
