The Winter Whirl hat, cowl and wrist warmers work well in a wool blend. The hat, cowl or set of wrist warmers take just a few hours to knit. The set can be finished in a weekend or two, and makes a perfect gift or accessory to any outfit.

Finished sizes:
Cowl: 24”circumference x 9” height
Adult Hat: 18”circumference x 8” height,
Child Hat: 16” circumference x 7” height
Wrist Warmers: 7” circumference x 7.5” height

Gauge: US#8 4.5 stitches = 1”; US#7 5 sts=1” Adjust needle size, and row count to match gauge.

Materials: Winter yarn: wool blend in worsted weight
Cowl: 217 yards / 3.5 oz (skein)
Adult hat: 130 yards / 2.1 oz; Child hat: 95 yards / 1.5 oz
Wrist Warmers: 95 yards / 1.5 oz

If you are careful, one skein will knit the hat and a set of wrist warmers. The second skein will work wonderfully into the cowl. (If you’d like a taller cowl, or no worries, buy a third skein.)
