The Wintergreen Cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. It features a simple cable stitch pattern that twists its way around the cowl. This pattern is easily adapted to other yarn weights – simply swatch for gauge, and then multiple the gauge per inch by the desired circumference and ensure that number is divisible by six. Adjust as necessary, and Bob’s your uncle! However, changing yarn weight will also change the yarn yardage requirements.

This pattern includes instructions for the cable cast on and ribbing bind off, but any non-curling cast on or bind off can be substituted if preferred.

The white speckled sample is a size large, and was worked in Crooked Kitchen Yarn’s Merinoh! Fingering singles in the Cleopatra and the Asp colourway.
