Designed special for A VERB FOR KEEPING WARM
“2023 winter solstice knitting experience”

Winterly is bandana-cowl worked from the bottom up, in the round. Part 1 includes decreases at both sides of the center slip stitch, to create the bandana shaping.

This cowl is designed to be worked in two colorways of Worsted weight yarns. The color variation is texture is achieved through a variety of slip stitch patterns – there is no stranded colorwork involved. Information on working (optional) jog-less stripes is provided on page 3 (See Special Techniques) to achieve a smoother color transition when alternating between the different color rnds.

Lastly, two-color Fisherman’s Rib is worked in the final section for the top edging.
