Wintersong is a triangular shawl, which is knitted in a fun way, with a “central spine”. Thus, you never have many stitches on the needle, and the progress is visible and motivating.

It presents an alternation of garter stitch sections - which offer a few rows of meditative knitting - with sections of a pattern stitch mixing cables and lace.

Wintersong is simple to make and it is the perfect illustration of what I like in knitting: no need for complicated things, with just a few well-placed basics we can get a delicate and elaborate effect.

Wintersong est un châle triangulaire, qui se tricote de manière amusante, avec une “arête centrale”. Ainsi, on a jamais beaucoup de mailles sur l’aiguille, et les progrès sont visibles et motivants.

Il présente une alternance de sections en point mousse - qui offrent quelques rangs de tricot méditatif - avec des sections d’un point mêlant torsade et dentelle.

Wintersong est simple à réaliser et c’est l’illustration parfaite de ce qui me plait dans le tricot : pas besoin de choses compliquées, avec juste quelques basiques bien placés on peut obtenir un effet délicat et travaillé.
