Winterthorn is a slouchy hat with an unusual, non-repeating stranded pattern. If you want a super-slouchy hat, try using larger needles!

It has eight sections and the pattern moves between each of the sections. It is charted for one main colour and four shades of contrasting colours but it works just as well if you use one self-striping 4 ply yarn for all the contrasting sections.

I’ve included the approximate length you’ll need of each colour but these are based on my test knits only. If you do knit this hat please let me know how much you used so I can make the pattern more accurate!

Please note: The chart is 200 stitches wide and it’s split across two pages in the pattern so please be careful and make sure you work across both sides of the chart.
