Wintry is a beautiful yoke sweater with delicate colourwork. With a modern aesthetic, it is perfect for a modern Christmas sweater or winter wear.

Pattern covers both cropped and full length versions, as well as notes on where to modify for shape/size. If you’re between sizes we recommend using a smaller gauge due to the large asymmetrical repeat.

We’ve worked it with The Fibre Co Cumbria for a slight fluffy texture, however if you wanted a more traditional garment with structured colourwork, a Shetland yarn could be used.

CONSTRUCTION

Top down with circular yoke, seamless design, to stop any floats showing through we’ve used this technique.

MATERIALS

Approximately 1100 (1200, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1800) meters of Fingering/4ply weight yarn in MC
Approximately 90 (90, 100, 100, 120, 120) meters of Fingering/4ply weight yarn in CC
Please note these are for the full length version, cropped version uses less MC.

Photographed in The Fibre Co - Cumbria (fingering) Appleby Castle (MC) and Scafell Pike (CC)
