This ultra-lightweight tee is the perfect project for spring and summer knitting! Worked in stocking stitch, and with absolutely no arm or neck shaping, I am confident that anyone could knit this project, especially first-time knitters. It is also a size inclusive pattern, with a size range of XS-5XL (measurements are given at the end of this description).

The fit is cropped and relaxed, with a drop shoulder effect and short sleeves that should end right under your elbow! I have given suggested measurements, but you can also easily customize the length and fit of the tee as you desire! The combination of DK yarn and 9mm needles makes this a truly unique project that will feel unlike anything you’ve ever knit. It also means it requires very little yarn, resulting in quite a cheap project!

To knit this tee, you will need to know how to work in stocking stitch and twisted rib stitch (or basic 1x1 rib stitch). I have included links to youtube tutorials throughout, so you can easily learn any new techniques as you go along! I have also given detailed instructions on seaming, and how to organize colors to get a beautiful, colorful tee.

Materials used: 8mm and 9mm knitting needles, 250-350 grams of DK yarn, and a tapestry needle for seaming. This would be a wonderful stash buster project, so I recommend using as much scrap yarn as you can!
PS: DK yarn is also known as light worsted yarn or 8ply yarn, depending on where you live.
