This is a cute quirky tea cosy to keep your tea nice and warm.
It is fun and easy to make. You will need about 50 gm of orange yarn for the body, around 15 gm yellow yarn for the features. And about 30 gm of black yarn for the hat.
One skein of each yarn is more than sufficient for this project. You can make about 3 cosies from a single skein of orange yarn. The hat is optional. As are the spider sequins.

First the body is constructed, then the features are appliquéd on. The hat is the perfect finishing touch!

The gauge is 14 sc x 16 sc rows = 4” x 4” for the 5mm hk. This is for the hat.
The gauge for the body & features is 16 dc x 7 dc rows = 4” x 4” for the 4.5mm hk.

The cosy can be made larger on smaller, by adding or subtracting rows/stitches.

I hope you have as much fun making your cosy, as I had creating it!
