As much as a fully reversible hat appeals in concept, the actual knitting of such a piece is not so much fun.
With a Brim was created in response to requests from loyal followers that wanted a hat pattern based upon my ‘This Side’ cowl. The request spawned 2 hats - ‘With a Brim’ and the fully reversible ‘Double Dip’.

With a Brim is written for 3 yarn weights (Fingering, DK, and Worsted), and comes in 7 sizes (small newborn to large adult)

CONSTRUCTION
With A Brim is a beanie knit in the round.
The pattern is written for 3 yarn weights, and 7 sizes.
The pattern starts with a fold over brim in the main colour, then sees you work towards the crown of the hat, utilising the main colour and contrast colour in a slip stitch pattern.
At the end of the project, you will need to whipstitch the fold over brim to secure it.

SKILLS REQUIRED
Knit in the round
Work slipped stitches
Whipstitch 2 layers of knitting together
