Gradient yarns are so much fun, they are playful, attractive and simply irresistible in all shades and hues of colour.

Starting with just 3 stitches, this shawl is designed for gradient colour yarns, but other yarns can be used as well. It is worked in one piece from the bottom up. Playful tassels at each corner help to keep the shawl in shape.

Only one lace pattern is used throughout. The pattern is written for one size only, but the size is easily adaptable by working fewer or more repeats of the main pattern.

The sample shawl shown here is made with approx. 656 yds (600m) of fingering weight yarn. Other yarn weights are possible, simply adjust the needle size and yardage requirements. The instructions are in the form of charts and as fully written instructions.

Measurements of sample shawl:
Wingspan 68” (173 cm) , depth: 27.5” (70 cm) after blocking.

The shawl can be made with or without tassels.
