This slouchy hat is named for the fictional town of Lake Wobegon where Garrison Keillor claims β€œall the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”

This hat is intended to fit an average woman’s head.

Gauge is done in single crochet only - not in the pattern for the hat. Please take the time to do a gauge swatch, and change hooks if necessary to get the recommended gauge.

The sample hat was knit in Sunrise Fiber Co’s Twisted MCN Sock in our exclusive colorway β€œLake of the Woods.” But, any fingering weight yarn should work.
