The crescent shape of this shawl is closely connected to the wolf and the woods theme. The body is grey like a wolf’s fur and the leafy border evokes the feel of the forest where the wolves live. The simple construction of the main part is beautifully emphasized by a more intricate applied border. Do you sense the wolf peeking at you through the foliage?

US #4 (3.5 mm) circular needles or size to obtain the gauge.

Wolff Und Schafe – 2 skeins of Sigmund (100% merino: 100g – 437 yds/ 400 m): Main Color (MC) – “Juniper Smoke”, Contrasting Color (CC) – “Toadstool’s Fantasy”.

24 sts x 36 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch after wet blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project but may affect finished measurements and yardage.

2 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving.

The sample is 74”/ 190 cm from side to side and 21.5”/ 55 cm from top to bottom at the deepest point.

Huge Thanks to my dear testers for their awesome help also to Magdalena Wolff (WolffUndSchafe) for this collaboration and her beautiful yarns.
