A cute Aussie family in one pattern!: Includes instructions to make the Mom and dad wombat and also the baby wombat that is commonly called joey.

2021 UPDATE: I’ve replaced the document with a new version that includes many more pictures. If you bought this pattern in the past and have any trouble conserning the last version please let me know.

This amigurumi is based on the Hairy-Nosed Wombat (Lasiorhinus latifrons or Lasiorhinus krefftii) and I also have another pattern to make the Common Wombat (Vombatus ursinus) here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/common-wombat-an...

Size: Mom and dad measure approx. 8x5x” or 20x13 and joey is just 2.5x1.5” or 8x5cm.

You can make these amigurumi using regular yarn or give them a hairy look by using a mohair-blend (or similar) or just by brushing your regular acrylic yarn.

MATERIALS
You can use any yarn you like in 2 colors.
For writting the pattern I used WW/10ply yarn

• Main Color: 70g for each adult (I used “Vanna’s Choice” in color Barley-403 for the furry version and “Fun” in color Brown-126B; both by Lion Brand).
• Contrasting Color: approx. 15g for the Joey and some pieces of the adult (I used a DK- 8ply acrylic yarn together with a Sport/ 4ply mohair blend in color Beige to get the same thicknes as the MC.)
• Small quantities of black and pink yarn or embroidery thread.
• Crochet hook: 3.5mm (E)
• Safety eyes: 14mm for the adult and 7mm for the joey (If you choose to use eyes).
• Stuffing material, yarn needle and scissors.
• OPTIONAL: A little piece of black, white and beige felt and a brush for the hairy version.

DIFFICULTY:

This pattern is available only in English and I used US crochet terminology.
