This peaked cap is derived from a flat-knit traditional man’s cap (see PassedDown’s Salt & Pepper Cap on Ravelry) and modified to be knit in-the-round as a women’s cap. The yarn used can make a difference in the sizing: using an aran yarn may give you a larger man-sized cap whereas the Patons Classic Wool Worsted recommended should result in a cap that will fit anyone with a 22” size measured on an angle from the back neck, over the ears, and mid-way up the forehead. The band should be a bit too snug at first, but will relax with wearing and do a good job of blocking the wind.
