When I look out my dining room or kitchen window, I often see several squirrels romping around in my slightly wooded backyard. And they especially love taking little sips from my small pond with a fountain after playing. This winter, they’ve been enjoying “ice skating” on the little pond’s frozen surface. I love watching their antics and seeing how quickly they can scamper off and up a tree trunk!

Now you can bring the cutest little Woodland Squirrel into your home by making this double knit potholder featuring this adorable creature munching on an acorn. If you’re unfamiliar with double knitting, this small potholder is a great way to learn this knitting technique. Both sides are the same, except with reversed colors. You’ll get the accomplishment of finishing a beautiful project and the confidence of adding a new skill to your knitting basket.

With this instantly downloadable PDF pattern, you’ll have all the help you need to get started!
This pattern includes written instructions, a chart, and links to video tutorials for the invisible cast on, invisible bind off, slip stitch edging, and I-cord loop. You’ll end up with a professional looking finished project that you’ll be proud to give as a gift or keep and put on display.
