The cardigan has a circular yoke and is knit from the top down. It has instructions to knit the sleeves in the round or flat. The button bands are constructed by picking up stitches along the front edges.
The contrast colour bands in the yoke consist of a simple garter stitch and rib pattern. The number of bands varies according to the size of cardigan knitted.

I knitted my sample in Drops Baby Merino and stated the needle size in the pattern accordingly. Several of my testers used a slightly bulkier sports weight yarn such a Debbie Bliss Cashmerino and MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino and found they needed to use 3.5 mm needles or even 3.00 mm.
You can also use a lightweight DK yarn to knit this cardigan. Just be sure to work a gauge swatch and adjust needles accordingly.

The pattern includes detailed instructions, photo tutorials and links to video tutorials for several techniques.

I would rate this as an intermediate level project.
