From EZ: OPTION: add a jaunty stripe of the contrasting color if wanted…which reminds me: when changing colors in ribbing, work the first round of the new color in ALL KNIT to prevent the “wrong” side purl bloops from showing.

From Knitting Around (pages 5-6):
Sizes: 10-12
Gauge: 4 stitches to 1”
Materials: 2 4oz skeins 3-ply natural Sheepswool, 1oz contrasting color, if wanted. A set of d.p. needles of a size to give you the above GAUGE (about #6-7).

These socks appeared in Newsletter #10, Spring 1963, the precursor to Wool Gathering.
