This scarf is a warm lace winter scarf, featuring a true lace body (no rest row) and a Shetland Edging, which is added last, as in most Shetland Shawls. The warmth is added by reducing the gauge and blocking much less than you would with lace. (The Shetland Edging is blocked a bit more than the body of the scarf, allowing the stitch to show a bit more than the body, without decreasing the warmth of the scarf.

If you would like a simpler and horter scarf, use the usual CO and do not add the Shetland edging.

The scarf was knit using Handmaiden’s of Canada’s Eden yarn, and it is undyed.

The scarf was expertly tested by Lisa Lynn, who can be reached at: lilypupsleep@outlook.com

SKill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of lace)

There is also instructions for crocheted side edging, should you want to edge the vertical sides. This is the ONLY crochet in the pattern.

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry or in my Etsy Shop in the Eclectic Scarf Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=…)
