MATERIALS: may be crocheted in white with a coloured border, or in colour with a white border, the shawl being of Shetland floss and the border of thicker wool. The floss should be worked with a No. 3 bone crochet hook. The thicker wool with a No. 1 hook, ten inches long.
It is advisable to make the border first.
