This great little woolly Gilet is so much fun to make, and satisfyingly cosy to wear as well! This Gilet knits up quick due to the woolly pattern, which is just one row of loops and one row of plain knitting.

There are no picking up of stitches as arm, neck and front borders are all made while knitting up the garment. Also no button holes as the front is fasten with hook-and-eye fastenings.

This pattern is made with about an inch positive ease and to fit Bust sizes 34, 38 and 40 inches.

You will need about 5 - 6 balls of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran. Or any other fairly fluffy Aran that knits in stocking stitch using 5mm knitting needles to a tension of 18 stitches x 24 rows in stocking stitch.
