This cute sheep themed cowl was designed to match my Woolly Sheep Hat pattern. It has a ribbed border followed by some stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch rows to create ridges, with the Fair Isle (stranded) sheep repeat pattern encircling the middle section of the cowl. The sheep motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to Fair Isle. The cowls pictured are worked using a lovely soft wool silk mix yarn in DK/light worsted weight.

The pattern covers sizes from toddler to adult, however the smaller sizes can also be worn by an adult for a snug fit. The instructions are written for both knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back, or in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary. (You may, therefore, only wish to print the appropriate pages for your project.)
